Guided tours of the sets
Our guided and interactive set tours are designed to provide a first-hand experience of moviemaking, demonstrate the phases in producing a film and introduce students to the fascinating world of cinema.
Guided and interactive tours of permanent sets (Ancient Rome) are available only on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 am and 6 pm (last entrance 4.30 pm).
A JOURNEY THROUGH THE CITY OF THE CINEMA
This tour leads visitors through the Dream Factory for a first-hand experience of moviemaking, combining a visit to the sets of Cinecittà, elements of set design and the Studios’ historic architecture in a journey that brings past and present together. Short educational activities allow children and young adults to actively engage in the tour and discover secrets and backstage tricks on a film set.

THE SETS OF CINECITTA’
A guided tour through the Studios to explore the history of the Dream Factory and the productions that made it so famous over the years. Step by step, participants discover anecdotes and fun information about film genres, cult films and TV series as they walk the historical treelined avenues of the production centre surrounded by sets and soundstages.

THE ARCHITECTURE OF CINECITTA’
A tour dedicated to the architecture of Cinecittà, designed by Gino Peressutti, and its history to the present day. The visit reveals the hidden corners of the Studios – the fountain, Fellini screening room, a sound stage – and explores Rationalist style and its later development amid an evolving historical context and changes in Rome’s urban planning during the 1930s and 1940s.

IS CINECITTA’: HISTORICAL MEMORY AND COLLECTIVE IMAGINATION
A tour dedicated to the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Cinecittà that reveals the City of Cinema not only as a place of movie making, but also as a generator of stories and imagination and a keeper of memory, from the historical to the individual and collective, for over 80 years. A tour that creates a portrait of Cinecittà as a huge “atlas of emotions” by collating individual memories and the imaginations of great directors and movie stars.
