Groups may prebook guided or themed tours focussing on the history of cinema and Cinecittà, the stars that made Studios internationally famous and the Italian and international productions of past and present that were made at the Studios.

SHOOTING AT CINECITTÀ

A guided tour of the exhibits of Cinecittà Shows Off
A guided tour to the set of Un medico in famiglia and the exhibits of Cinecittà Shows Off: Felliniana – Ferretti dreams Fellini, Shooting in Cinecittà and Backstage – An educational route through Cinecittà. Striking set displays, original costumes and props from famous films take visitors on a journey through the history of Cinecittà and encounters with the key figures, imbued with the magical enchantment of the world of cinema. A guided tour filled with information leads visitors in the discovery of the professions in film to discover what happens behind the scenes on a movie production and the secrets of cinema storytelling.

FEDERICO FELLINI AT CINECITTÀ

Themed tour of the exhibits of Cinecittà Shows Off

This tour revolves around the personality and imagination of Federico Fellini and leads the visitors through the exhibition routes of Cinecittà Shows Off paying special action to FELLINIANA – Ferretti sogna Fellini, the installation-exhibit created by Academy winning art director Dante Ferretti, one of the skiful magicians who brought the director’s vision to life, an artist-artisan who provided a physical shape for Fellini’s dreams, and Academy Award winning art director Francesca Lo Schiavo.

DREAMY COSTUMES

Themed tour of the exhibits of Cinecittà Shows Off

A guided visit focussed on the priceless costumes displayed in the Palazzina Presidenziale. Costumes and accessories from famous films and series offer the starting point for an exploration of the history of cinema, Italian and international, and the work of costume designers and costume houses.

MIAC – BETWEEN ART AND CINEMA

Guided tour of MIAC – Italian Museum of Moving Images

A guided tour that explores the history of the cinema and audiovisual industry, stimulating analysis and comparison of the relationships in Italy’s cinema, television, radio and artistic heritage. Interactive settings, audio and visual installations, photographs and films provide the visitor with images, face, sounds from our imagination, to nurture personal and collective memory while reflecting on the past with eyes on the future.

ETTORE SCOLA & LUCIANO RICCERI: TWO MASTERS OF ITALIAN CINEMA

Guided tour of Studio EL

To celebrate the acquisition of Ettore Scola and Luciano Ricceri’s Studio EL, Cinecittà opens the creative space where so many cinematic masterpieces were created to visitors for the very first time.  The guided tour showcases the long working partnership between the director, Scola, and the set designer, Ricceri, and delves into the creation of a film setting, from the idea for the set design to its physical manifestation with original sketches, mock-ups, props, books and research material.

GROUPS

Guided tours for groups can be booked for a minimum of 15 PARTICIPANTS (€14 per person).
A combination guided tour for groups, to the Exhibition + MIAC, costs €20.
Guided tours are available in Italian, English, French and Spanish.

STUDIO EL is accessible to visitors only on scheduled and pre-booked tours led by Educational Department guides and is open to groups – minimum 10, maximum 20 people – at the cost of €20* per person.

  • The cost of €20 includes the guided tour plus independent entrance to the exhibition routes, Cinecittà Shows Off and MIAC – Italian Museum of Moving Images.
