Interactive, guided and themed tours

The interactive, guided and themed tours are designed to offer children and young adults a stimulating and hands-on experience. Tools including images, educational aids and brief practical experiences on set are used to actively involve students. All the tours, enlivened with fun facts and trivia, are led by educational specialists whose interactive and engaging approach makes participants feel like the stars of Cinecittà!

 

STROLLING AROUND ANCIENT ROME

Interactive tour of the set of Ancient Rome and self-guided tour of ongoing exhibitions

A stroll through temples, arches and columns to discover the colours of the architecture, deities and characters of Ancient Rome on Cinecittà’s monumental set. Each participant is provided with an entertaining educational map to create a memory of their experience with drawings and collage.

A TRIP THROUGH THE CITY OF CINEMA

Interactive tour of the set of Ancient Rome and self-guided tour of ongoing exhibitions

This tour leads visitors through the sets of Cinecittà: Jerusalem, Ancient Rome, Florence in 1400s. Short educational activities provide children and young adults with the opportunity to engage with the tour and find out about the secrets and backstage tricks on a film set.

THE SETS: FROM JERUSALEM TO FLORENCE IN 1400S

Interactive tour of the sets and self-guided tour of ongoing exhibitions

This tour unfolds through the sets of Cinecittà – Temple of Jerusalem, Ancient Rome, and Florence in 1400s – to reveal the history of Cinecittà and evocative points of interest like Galleria Masse and a sound stage (dependent on availability).

FEDERICO FELLINI AND CINECITTÀ – SPECIAL FEDERICO FELLINI 100!

Themed tours of the sets and ongoing exhibitions

This tour focuses on the persona of Federico Fellini, unfolding through exhibition sections dedicated to the Maestro, screenings and an outdoors visit which includes two Cinecittà sets (Jerusalem and Ancient Rome) and his favourite soundstage, Teatro 5 (the outdoor section is always open, whereas indoor access is subject to the schedules of productions using Teatro 5).

This tour is dedicated to the relationship between cinema and photography, unfolding through stories about legendary collaborations between film directors and Directors of Photography. Tours of the sets and exhibitions enable students to understand the technicalities of cinematography and experience its power of expression. Educational material and the photographs taken during the tour provide tangible memories of this unforgettable experience.

Charming, cheerful, mysterious, reserved, full of life: These are only some of the qualities associated with the female protagonists of Cinecittà over the decades. Sets, theaters and exhibitions rich with fun facts and trivia provide appealing clues to becoming acquainted with some of the most celebrated women on screen, both past and present.

CINECITTÀ’S ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT

Themed tour of the sets and free tour of ongoing exhibitions

This route is dedicated to the history of Cinecittà and its architectural project, from the vision of Gino Peressutti to today. Here visitors will explore Cinecittà’s hidden corners: The fountain, Fellini’s screening room, soundstages, and learn about the rationalist architectural style and its further developments over time, along with the city planning changes that took place in the 1930s and 1940s.
