Interactive, guided and themed tours
Our interactive and guided tours are designed to provide children and young adults with a stimulating, hands-on experience. Tools including images, educational aids and brief workshop exercises are used to
actively involve students who then experiment with the content.
Guided and interactive tours and workshops at Cinecittà Shows Off and MIAC – Italian Museum of Moving Images can be booked every day (except Tuesdays) between 10 am and 6 pm (last entrance 4.30 pm).

BACKSTAGE: THE SECRETS OF FILM – NEW
This exhibition tour, which winds through the dramatic settings, original costumes and set elements from many famous films, takes the participants on a journey into the history of Cinecittà where they meet its protagonists and can let themselves be enchanted by cinema. The fascinating story continues with the educational route Backstage, taking participants to the rooms dedicated to film professions to discover what lies behind the production of a film and the secrets of movie-making.

INSIDE A FILM: COMPARING CAMERA SHOTS – NEW
An interactive tour of the exhibition routes to find out about the key films in Cinecittà’s history and learn about the language of cinema, its main elements and the narrative functions of a camera shot in the telling of a story through images. The set elements in the Park and the set of Un Medico in Famiglia are the starting point for visual exercises and first-hand experiments with the key camera shots that build a scene and a story.

A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME: CINEMA, RADIO, TV
A journey of marvel and surprise through the rooms of MIAC which display the gadgets and equipment that create film’s fantastic illusions and feature sound and light installations focussing on radio, TV and cinema. Young explorers take an imaginative journey through time that ends in the Kaleidoscope Room, the perfect setting for staging a futuristic tableau vivant to create a lasting souvenir of the experience.

THIS IS MIAC – ITALIAN MUSEUM OF MOVING IMAGES
A tour that delves deep into the history of cinema and audiovisual production through the evocative installations at MIAC – Italian Museum of Moving Images. A wide-ranging immersive story that allows the visitor to experience the development of Italy’s audiovisual heritage from the dawn of cinema and the footage that forms the country’s great archives right up to the debut of television and the creation and development of the new digital formats.

DISCOVER MIAC: A COLLECTIVE IMAGINATION – NEW
A guided tour through the halls of MIAC that illustrates the history of the audiovisual industry in Italy, through the spread of radio, cinema and television, and of technology with regards to the evolution of collective imaginations across generations. The visit offers participants an immersive experience thanks to multi-disciplinary links and the interactive encounter with the surrounding atmospheres of light, sound, images, words that characterise the museum.
