Cinema days
Cinema Days are designed to offer classes the opportunity for in-depth analysis of one or more cinema-related themes by combining two different educational activities related to the Cinecittà Shows Off and MIAC – Italian Museum of Moving Images exhibitions and the permanent sets in the same day. The stop motion animation workshops (duration approx. 200 minutes) are included in the Cinema Days.

PINOCCHIO IN STOP MOTION – NEW
This activity explores different animation techniques with a particular focus on stop motion. It starts with a screening featuring the adventures of Collodi’s famous puppet and a viewing of some original costumes and props from Roberto Benigni’s film Pinocchio, then participants produce their own stop motion animation, using a range of artistic techniques such as drawing, collage, modelling, while working together as a team.

FEDERICO FELLINI IN STOP MOTION – NEW
This activity explores different animation techniques with a particular focus on stop motion. It starts with the exhibition routes and set elements that display Fellini’s imagination and show the great Italian director’s relationship with Cinecittà; then participants produce their own stop motion animation, inspired by the surreal, dreamlike worlds he created, using a range of artistic techniques such as drawing, collage and modelling, while working together as a team.
