Special routes: Cinema days

Cinema days are designed to offer classes the opportunity for in-depth analysis of a cinema-related subject, inspired by the exhibitions and permanent sets of “Cinecittà Shows Off”. The broad and varied offer for schools allows for the combining of two different educational activities and provides the opportunity for an interactive and engaging experience.

STUDIOS WITH… “CLASS”

Guided or interactive tour on sets, guided exhibition tour and workshop

This route features two educational activities designed to engage visitors in an active experience on set, with in-depth exploration of one of the exhibition themes and film language through an educational workshop. Tours and workshops can be selected according to students’ needs and age groups.

Info: This course lasts 4 hours. Each class can choose a workshop and a tour from those listed above.

FROM EUR TO CINECITTÀ IN THE COMPANY OF FEDERICO FELLINI – SPECIAL FEDERICO FELLINI 100! – NEW

Guided tour of EUR buildings, guided tour of sets and exhibition

This double guided tour is dedicated to the imagination of Federico Fellini, his filmography and his relationship with two places he loved: the EUR neighbourhood and Cinecittà. The metaphysical atmosphere of Rationalist architecture, the empty spaces of the soundstage waiting to be filled, the theatrical drama of EUR and the studios of Cinecittà are points on an interdisciplinary tour that combines cinema, architecture, history and art, starting from the settings that provided the backdrop for the unforgettable scenes from the films of the Maestro from Rimini.

The gathering point will be decided at the time of booking.
Transportation is not included in the price of the ticket and is provided by the school.

THE PLASTER CASTS ROOM

Guided tour among the sets and the exhibitions and workshop

This visit is divided into two phases aimed at encouraging children and young adults to approach and explore cinematic fiction, from set materials to masters of craftsmanship. Tours of the exhibitions, sets and film sculptures will present the professional roles that contribute to preparing the sets: painters, decorators, sculptors, carpenters. The workshop offers the students the chance to create small chalk props inspired by Ancient Rome.

FRAME BY FRAME: THE STOP MOTION LAB

Guided tour of the sets and exhibitions, screening and workshop

The visit highlights the main features of cinematic styles and the different animation techniques with a particular focus on stop motion. Images, set designs and stage costumes are the starting point to understand how a film is created, discover small and large animated masterpieces and identify the links between cinema, literature, history, art and illustration. In the workshop, children and young adults reinvent film stories and create their own stop motion video.

A FANTASTIC TRIP TO THE WORLD OF CINEMA

A joint route with Cinecittà World.

Tour of the sets of Cinecittà Studios (Via Tuscolana 1055) and access to Cinecittà World (via Pontina, Castel Romano)

A double visit that offers participants the opportunity to analyse various elements of the world of cinema. In the morning, at the Studios on Via Tuscolana, students will embark on guided and interactive tours to discover the creative process and the cultural value of movie making; followed by an afternoon visit to Cinecittà World, a park featuring fun and spectacular attractions, and sets by Oscar-winning designer Dante Ferretti.
Info: The activities at “Cinecittà Shows Off“ will take 2 hours.
Each class can choose their preferred tour from the list above.
Transport to Cinecittà World is not included and must be arranged by the school.
This visit is only available during the months when Cinecittà World is open.
