I CINQUE LIONNI: GIULIO GIANINI’S STRIKING ANIMATION FOR THE STORIES WRITTEN BY LEO LIONNI
Exhibition tour, screening and workshop. Workshop in collaboration with Gallucci Editore. Designed for nursery and primary school students, this workshop is dedicated to stories and moving pictures, to the characters generated by the genius of Leo Lionni, and to the animated stories of film director Giulio Gianini.
This is a way to experience Gianini’s poetic animation and Lionni’s illustrations, which continue to enchant kids and adults.
“Pinocchio” targets primary school students (aged 8 to 10).
“Ben Hur” targets middle school students.
“The Taming of the Shrew” and “Senso” target high school students.

Exhibition and workshop. This route highlights the relationship between words and images, through books and illustrations that have captivated talented directors and inspired their films.
Visitors will explore how some of the most famous literary texts and theatrical plays were adapted into popular films, such as “Pinocchio,” “Quo Vadis,” “Ben Hur,” “Senso,” and “The Taming of the Shrew,” whose costumes and set designs are a part of the experience.

SERGIO LEONE’S LEGENDS AND HEROES
“Legends make the best entertainment.” Sergio Leone’s concept will lead the students through the best known productions of the famous director. They will be able to find out how his most celebrated characters were born and will compare them with the legendary protagonists of epic and chivalric literature, to engage in their own research about heroes and anti-heroes.
