The sweeping lawns and their 676 trees including 442 centuries old 442 pines – that were planted between the ‘30s and the ‘40s, in addition to cedars and oleanders – have by now become one of the iconic symbols of the Dream Factory.
On the tree-lined streets which were walked on by past celebrities, and before the huge and mysterious Venusia – the scenic element created for the movie “Il Casanova di Federico Fellini” – we have the impression that fiction is even more vivid than reality.
And after the walk among the trees and through the various movie sets in the open, it is possible to relax in the exhibition area where comfortable seats and pillows on the grass await the visitors, who will enjoy the green alongside a variety of appealing movie props. This is a place where nature mingles with the evocative atmosphere and magic of movies.
New in the green area is the Play Garden, a whimsical installation which feature letters spelling out the word “Cinecittà”, which becomes a game for children: the colored and curvy letters harmoniously match the colors of nature and the shapes of the park architecture, offering a new exciting route. The installation is a true work of art conceived by Studio Tondoquadro in full respect of the existing architecture and landscape.
From time to time, the Play Garden’s green area hosts the activities organized by the Cinebimbicittà workshop, and includes interactive tours and games for visiting kids.
